Gay Book Promotions will strive to organise a successful promotion tour or ARC Management for you, but please be aware we cannot guarantee a definite number of sign ups from blog hosts or reviewers.
To obtain the maximum number of sign ups and reviews, we suggest booking your tour at least three-four weeks in advance and providing review copies as soon as possible after that.
Please be aware that some of our reviewers also review for other promo companies. Hence, if you schedule with more than one tour company, you may not receive so many reviews/sign ups from one of these companies if the promotion is split/shared.
Our reviewers have the right to mark a book as DNF (Did Not Finish). They are not then obligated to post a review. Any reviewer who does this frequently will be removed from our list of reviewers and not be offered further ARCs for review.
Payment and Refunds
Once you finalise the details of your tour we will send a PayPal invoice to the email used to enquire. Work on your promotional package will begin after payment of this invoice is received. We will contact blog hosts and reviewers regarding your request and start preparing the media pack and promo images.
Once payment is made no refunds will be given, although an alternative date may be selected for your tour if reasonable notice is given. If your tour requires rescheduling for any reason, please contact us as soon as possible. A $20 fee will be incurred for rescheduling any tour.
Blog Posts for Tours
We will send out the tour schedule and media kit to bloggers ahead of time. If a blogger is unable to keep their selected hosting/reviewing commitment, we will do our best to find an alternative date.
Gay Book Promotions is not responsible for missed posts or reviews. If a host misses their post, we will contact them and do our best to encourage them to rectify the situation as soon as possible. We will follow-up with any reviewers if their review has not been posted by the end of the tour.
Although we accept tour stops on the weekends, please be aware that we run a limited promotional service on Saturdays and Sundays. We will endeavour to share blog posts on social media, but if circumstances dictate otherwise we will post them the following Monday.
Giveaways are an optional extra. They are organised on a tour-wide basis via Rafflecopter (unless the author wishes to organise their own). The prizes are provided by the author and will be delivered by the author once the giveaway has ended. Gay Book Promotions will create the giveaway form based on the author’s requirements and it will form part of the media package. Default entry options will include “liking” your Facebook page and “following” your Twitter account. Other entry options can be added—just let us know so they can be added when creating the form. At the conclusion of the giveaway, we will draw the winners and provide you with their contact details so you may distribute the prize/s. If you wish, you may also create and provide your own Rafflecopter code and handle the giveaway yourself.
